More and more research is coming to light to show that refined carbs, such as sugar and foods made from white flour, are as addictive as cocaine. It seems that, like smoking cigarettes, when you have 'one treat' you set up cravings to have another treat in the future. Unfortunately the evidence is showing that if you want to lose weight and stay healthy you need to give up sugar and sugary foods totally.
